How far away is Chocholow thermal baths from Krakow and Zakopane?
The Chocholow thermal baths are approximately a 1.5 hours drive from Krakow and about a 30 minute drive from the centre of Zakopane.
The town of Chocholow is only a few mins drive from the Slovakian border and some of the trips from Krakow will include a visit to Slovakia.
The thermal baths are nestled at the foot of the Tatra mountain range and the complex is right next to the Dunjanec river so you really do get a feeling of soaking up the mountain air whilst you’re soaking yourself in the thermal waters.
Is it possible to do the trip to the Chocholow thermal baths from Krakow all by yourself?
Of course it is. If you want to do it yourself then you need to take the bus or train from Krakow to Zakopane and from Zakopane catch a local bus to Chocholow.
Although this is perfectly do-able we know that many people prefer to be picked up from their hotel in Krakow and taken to Zakopane for a few hours to explore before then being taken to the thermal baths in Chocholow and then back to your hotel in Krakow.
